This is a image of my chickens inside their dome (Chicken Tractor). I move the dome around my round vegetable gardens and let them do all my weeding, digging, mulching and fertilising. They normally stay on each garden for 3 weeks and in that time I throw all our kitchen scraps , lawn clippings and garden weeds to them. I use an old picnic basket for their laying box and a tarp provides protection from rain. wind and sun. They use the perches at the top to roost at night. Beats a battery hens life for sure!!
I run courses on how to make these permaculture chicken domes Click Here
I'm glad you're spreading the word about chicken tractors. We've discovered that the combination of tractoring and automatic chicken waterers takes all of the smell and mess out of chicken keeping. We love our hens. :-)
